The verger of St. George's Cathedral, Mr Jimmy Riadore, rings the largest of the cathedral's bells. The bell will be rung each day at 1 p.m. until the Dean of Johannesburg, the Very Rev. G. A. ffrench-Beytagh, has either been released or charged by the Security Police.
