As a gesture to Professor F. van Zyl Slabbert, Progressive parliamentary candidate for Rondebosch, who worked at Stellenbosch University for 12 years, 40 Matie students helped with canvassing in Rondebosch. The gesture was organised by Mr Jan van Eck, Progressive parliamentary candidate for Stellenbosch.
