The three are such good friends that newspaper-buyers outside the Meadowridge Service Station have seen Donovan covering his dogs up with his jersey and raincoat when it rains while he gets drenched. The dogs take the job seriously and they growled fiercely when an Argus photographer came too near their master to take this picture.
