Subject

Description

Proudest station master in the Peninsula today is probably Mr D. Airth. But modest Mr Airth says the praise should go to the Railways horticulturist. "I only look after it," he said. Mr Airth, who is a keen gardener, finds soccer nights at Hartleyvale the bane of his life. "Clearing the garden of bottles and tins can be quite a business," he said.
