Hout Bay might not be the Mull of Kintyre, but it fitted the bill for the haunting strains of Piper Megan Hutchinson at the Sea Harvest Festival. With her are Piper Major Steve Collins and Staff Sergeant Drummer Hymie Kaplan. Megan and Susan Bowes are the two women members of the Cape Town Highlanders pipe band, which also includes black members and schoolboys. The band recently won prizes at a Caledonian gathering in Johannesburg.
