B: Park Road, running along the south side of the common. C: The newly built Milner Road North, completed in spite of the protests of lovers of the common. D: The group of pines which marks the place where the old chapel known as the Tabernacle once stood (there were also two graveyards there). E: The Red Cross Children's Hospital. F: The Rustenburg Girls' High School. The network of paths revealed by this photograph is hardly noticeable from the ground.

Behind is the Paul Sauer Building which houses the railway headquarters for the Western Cape. Right behind this building is the overall deck of the railway station.
