The building, which is more than 200 years old and was one of the first farm homesteads to be built at the Cape, now contains three dwellings into which families have already moved. The official opening of the restored Koornhoop will take place at some future date. The foundation is at the moment busy restoring another old Cape building - Hoop op Constantia.
