Residents committee meetings planned for Saturday and last night had to be cancelled because the wire filled the hall and blocked its entrances. Mr G.N. Lawrence, the Western Cape Development Board's director of labour and housing, today confirmed that the board had put the wire in the Jubulala Hall to prevent "illegal use" of the building.
